For some, the lines and creases on their face reflect a lifetime of memories—a map of their journey. For others, they’re an unwelcome reminder of the years passing by. Wrinkles and fine lines may be a natural part of ageing, even with their own quiet elegance, but let’s face it—it’s okay if you’re not a fan.
While plastic surgery offers a solution, it’s often expensive, invasive, and requires a long recovery. That’s why so many are turning to Botox injections and Botox fillers—quick, non-invasive treatments that deliver real results.

Hello, lovely followers! I know there is lots of fandom goodness to talk about right now (especially with us being on the eve of the BAFTAs), but I had to share some personal news: I went to a gala myself last night, where I received an award! These are just a few pictures that I wanted to share from the occasion, and to let you know why I'm still working on my response to your Asks (which I will have done soon!). ❤️❤️

Ok. Here goes: No filter. No makeup. No filler. No botox. No moisturizer. Didn’t brush my hair. Lots of digital camera contrast. Very very tired. Terrible lighting. Age 50. 🤷‍♀️🤣

Psychologically, there are many reasons why someone might begin to lose sense of their appearance. Focusing too much on negative thoughts of yourself is what psychologists refer to as cognitive biases, or the spiraling thinking that can distort our perception of ourselves. Psychotherapist Kimberlin Shepard finds that these overly negative thoughts are usually the cause of perception drift. “Our minds have a troubling way of catastrophising something when we give it too much attention. By continually feeding into the negative narrative about a physical flaw, we train ourselves to believe it and distance ourselves from reality,” she says. Subsequently, becoming detached from reality can have serious consequences. Perception drift occurs when our looks become so altered that we begin to forget what we originally looked like. This is extremely common in the case of cosmetic surgery. When patients become especially critical of their looks, they’ll stop at nothing to change them. Because after you fix the “one thing” you dislike about yourself, it seems like tonnes of other things start to make themselves known. Perception drift literally distorts the way we see ourselves, and the perceived flaws we once didn’t even notice become another box to tick off. After one successful cosmetic procedure, the possibilities for improvement can begin to seem endless. Having warped ideas of ourselves is nothing new, especially because we rarely think of others as harshly as we do ourselves. “When thinking about ourselves, we are introspective, factoring our feelings and emotions into our perceptions of self,” Shepard says. According to her, we’re much more forgiving when it comes to others. “When we see others, we do not have an emotional bias distorting our view, therefore we see them strictly for what is truly observable.” Obsessing over your self-image can often lead to the undying desire to change it.

Get yourself a girl you can modify to your taste. A good girl understands she exists only to be pretty and pleasing for a man, so she understands it’s non-negotiable to be modified for his taste.
Such a girl is my @theabstractnoun . Her body and face is becoming increasingly modified to match exactly what I want.

if I was a celebrity and I saw my face being nitpicked by a plastic surgeon or esthetician talking about how they'd "fix" my features I would show up to their location and eat them

Soon as I see a single grey hair on a man I’m interested. Idk what it is but if he’s not over at least 35 (and imo 35 is still very young. I don’t think you’re old until like 70.. MAYBE) I don’t want him. I wanna see obvious signs of aging. A little crow’s feet. Some forehead wrinkles. Yeah. Ykw women are included in this too. I think people only get hotter as they get older.

maybe we went from really matte makeup being trendy to really dewy and shiny makeup being trendy because getting “non-invasive” beauty treatments (i. e. filler) were becoming more and more popular and normalised and you get unnaturally smooth and shiny skin from botox and fillers

I feel a lot of plastic surgery is peak objectification. And I don't mean it in the way you might first think, but I mean in how botox/fillers/etc works.
She's meant to look fantastic in photos- still images. She poses, she doesn't emote (or she does the one emote that looks good) and that's that. But in real life, it's off-putting. When she talks, you see her upper lip is weirdly still. Her eyebrows don't move. Her eyes don't crinkle when she smiles, which feels fake or forced. She looks different when she's actually being a human and the surgeries affect everything from talking to eating to emoting. You're specifically making yourself look the most appealing when you're doing nothing else but sitting/standing and posing. Being a person shows the flaws in your newly designed face, so you must be an object.

This isn’t a dig at those who do cosmetic enchantments, but please explain to me the logic of all these women who clearly have fillers in their face but are this concerned about red 40

I don’t know how to feel; in another blog, they showed proof that Kelly, in her latest post, uploaded a bikini photo from 2022 and passed it off as recent. I checked the details they mentioned, and it's true.
But what I don’t understand is why she would do that. She already has a great figure; we’ve seen it in her Alo Yoga posts.
Something just doesn’t add up.
Anon, this is not uncommon for instagram influencers to do something like this. Also please do not ever compare yourself to any instagram/models ever. It is their job to look good in pictures (and to shill unnecessary products lol)
